Draw Karma’s Pose

1) Karma Pose Drawing

Draw Karma’s Head

To draw the head, you need to begin with a circle (oval shape).

The circle must not be too big and not too small so that other features of the head can fit in.

Draw a vertical line inside the circle; this line should not be at the center of the circle but slightly to the right side of karma’s face, this serves as a guide for the alignment of the facial features.

Draw a horizontal line at the center of the circle(oval shape), this serves as the basis to draw the eyes.

Draw another horizontal line under the first one, this should be smaller than that of the eyes because it’s the basis to draw the nose.

Draw the last horizontal line under the second line, this last horizontal should be of the same size as that of the nose, this is the basis for the mouth.

By drawing this, you are done with the head.

Draw Karma’s Body

2) Outline body, arms, legs, face and neck etc

Draw a trapezoid square shape under the oval circle, and draw a vertical line inside the trapezoid.

Make sure the vertical line is slightly bent and it comes out of the trapezoid so that the shape of the waist can be fixed.

Draw a big circle under the trapezoid joining the vertical line that came through the trapezoid, and this is the basics for the waist and where the legs will be attached.

After these, you should be able to conclude that karma is on standing posture or position.

Draw outline for the arms and hand

To draw the right arm is very simple; draw a straight bend line from the trapezoid, which serves as the chest and shoulder downward.

This vertical line must be a bit bent at the center of the line, this is the right elbow.

For the left arm, draw another vertical bend line from the trapezoid square which serves as the chest and shoulder, but this time the vertical line must start from the inside of the trapezoid.

Make sure the middle of the vertical line is also bent, so it shows the left elbow.

To draw the left hand, draw a trapezoid on the line that serves as the left arm.

Make sure the left arm line is showing inside the trapezoid of the hand; the trapezoid is beside the big circle which was drawn for the waist and waistline.

For the right hand, draw another trapezoid at the end of his right arm also

Draw outlines for the legs

To draw the right leg, draw a vertical line from the big circle; this vertical line must not be bent because karma’s right leg is straight.

To draw the left leg, draw another vertical line from the big circle, but this time, the vertical line must be slightly bent so that the left leg is not as straight as the right leg.

Draw Karma’s Jaw & Neck

To draw karma’s jaw, draw a convex curve starting from the right side of the oval circle (head) to the left side.

To draw the neck, draw two vertical lines from the two sides of the jaw downward

Karma Hair Drawing

Karma’s hair is attached to the circle and also attached to the jaw.

To draw the hair, draw a freehand zigzag coming from the end of the left side of the circle, which later is aligned with the hair and the vertical line that is on the circle, the zigzag of the hair also touches the ends of the horizontal line of the eyes.

Draw the zigzag outside the right side of the head, this shows the limit of the hair towards the facial features, the hair total covers the ear. It gets to the lower part of the jaw.

Draw Karma’s Outfit

3) Draw outfit, hair & face etc

Karma jacket Drawing

The jacket has two sides which is the right and left side of the jacket.

To draw the left side of the jacket, draw a horizontal line above the trapezoid which the horizontal line should be close to the neck, draw down the horizontal line to look like a curved straight line, this straight line must not exceed the limit of the left arm.

Draw a vertical line from the inside of the trapezoid to the tip of the small trapezoid you drew for the left hand.

This vertical line should be slightly curved before it gets to the tip of the hand so that it can look more pragmatic.

Draw a horizontal line joining these vertical lines on the left hand together, this is the left sleeve of the jacket.

Draw a curved vertical line from the last vertical you drew for the left sleeve to the side of the curved area of the vertical line.

Draw a curve at the top of the trapezoid which serves as the chest, this curve should be facing the right side of the body.

Draw a slight bend vertical line from the end of the curve touching the big circle of the waist (side).

Draw a small horizontal line from the slightly curved vertical line to the first vertical line you drew from the sleeve with this you are done with the left side of the sleeve.

To draw the right side of the sleeve, draw a horizontal line as you did for the left side of the sleeve, curve the end of the horizontal line before you draw it down, and make the straight line a freehand drawing so that it looks like the side of the right sleeve seems rough.

Draw a vertical line from the side of the trapezoid that serves as the chest toward the first vertical line(beside the vertical line of the right arm) join the two vertical lines with a horizontal line, these vertical lines must not exceed the line form the arm and it must not cover the right hand.

Draw a bend vertical line aligning with the line of the trapezoid, make sure the line is turned outwardly.

Draw the curve on the trapezoid that serves as the chest, the curve should be facing the left side of the body and it should be opposite the curve you drew for the left jacket, this is the upper part of the jacket.

Draw a bend vertical line towards the vertical line you drew which was turned outwardly.

Draw a horizontal line under the vertical line that you first drew so that it looks exactly like the other side of the left jacket.

Draw the Shirt & Collar

Karma is putting on a V-neck shirt.

To draw the V-neck, draw a curved at the left side of the neck that meets the vertical line that runs from the center of the neck through the trapezoid shape of the chest.

Draw another curve from the right side of the neck to meet the first curve you drew on the vertical line.

Draw a freehand vertical line from the edge of these curves downward to the big circle of the waist passing through the lines of the trapezoid but slightly away from the vertical line when it’s about to reach the circle.

Draw another small freehand vertical line from the right side of the jacket passing through the side of the trapezoid downward.

To draw the collar, draw a vertical bend line from the point at which the neckline and the head circle meet.

Draw a horizontal line from the end of these vertical lines towards the curves of the V-neck.

The horizontal line for the left side of the collar should meet the curve of the V-neck and, draw a small curve at the end of the horizontal line.

Draw a roughly straight line at the end of the horizontal line of the right collar.

Karma Pant Drawing

Draw a horizontally curved line at the top of the circle for the waist.

For the right side of the pant, draw a small vertical line from the end of the horizontal line using it to close the opening of the right jacket, curve the end of the small vertical line and draw it downward.

Make the bottom of the lines a freehand drawing, and draw a vertical line from the down part of the circle(inside the circle) downward so that the end of the line is also free hand in order to make the lower part of the pant rough and folded.

Draw a horizontal line joining these two vertical lines together on the parallelogram of the shoe.

For the left pant, draw a slightly vertical line from the side of the circle on the jacket downward.

Make sure the end of the vertical line is also free hand, draw another vertically curved line on the vertical line of the right pant (inside the circle) downward towards the first line and also make the end of the line a free hand so the lower part of the left pant can also look rough and folded.

Draw a concave curve joining these lines together on the shape of the shoe.

By following these steps, you are done with the pant.

Draw Karma’s Eyebrows, Mouth, and Nose

The eyebrows are drawn on the hair, below the eyelids.

To draw the eyebrows, draw a slightly bent horizontal line on the hair and under the eyelid; that’s all for the eyebrows.

The mouth is under the nose and closer to the jaw.

To draw the mouth, draw two small horizontal lines on the already existing line you drew for the mouth.

The nose is under the eyes and above the mouth for the nose.

To draw the nose is very simple, make a small dot beside the vertical line on the head; the dot should be on the already existing horizontal line you drew for the nose.

Karma Hair Drawing

Karma’s hair covers the total sides of the head, and it gets to the sides of the jaw.

To finish the already started hair, draw a concave curve above the circle of the head, and start your concave from the right side of the hair that you drew outside the circle.

Draw a sharp edge at the center of the curve and stop the curve when it’s perpendicular to the right side(where it started).

Draw a vertical line to the end of the concave to form a sharp edge and draw a zigzag pattern downward till it gets to the lower part of the circle (besides the jaw).

Draw the same zigzag pattern on the right side of the head too.

Karma Hands Drawing

To draw the hands, trace the trapezoid you drew to the shape of the hands.

For the left hand, draw a vertical line at the bottom of the sleeve and curve it towards the thigh, and make another curve inside the trapezoid joining to the vertically curved line, so it forms the shape of the second finger (besides the thumb).

Draw a small curve pointing towards the thigh, so it joins to the curve of the second finger.

Draw a vertical line from the sleeve joining the end of the curve, this is the thumb.

Use the same techniques you used for the left hand to draw it for the right hand.

Draw Karma’s Eyes and Ears

To draw the left eye, draw a convex curve joining the eyelid you drew at first, and at the center of it make a dot; this is the pupil.

Draw a slightly curved horizontal line under the convex, this is the lower eyelid.

For the right eye, draw a convex curve but not as wide as the left eye, make your dot which serves as the pupil, and draw your curved horizontal line under the convex, this is the lower eyelid.

To draw the ear, draw a small curve at the sides of the oval circle; the ears are connected to his jaw.

Draw karma’s Buttons on His Shirt

To draw the button; karma has four buttons on his shirt; draw small circles starting from the bottom of the V-neck downward; make sure there are even spaces between these small circles, and they should not exceed four small buttons.

Draw karma’s Belt and the Pant Pocket

To draw the belt, draw another convex curve under the one you drew for the pant.

Draw a square shape at the center of these curves, and draw another square on the first square leaving just little spaces beside them.

Draw a small rectangle on the right side of the square; this is the hook of the belt.

Draw two rectangle shapes at the sides of the square shape leaving even spaces, this is the part of the pant where the belt is being fixed, under the square shape draw two vertical lines at the center of the square.

Draw a slightly bend horizontal line joining these vertical lines together, this is the zipped part of the pant.

For the pockets, draw a curve from the pant to the sides, and draw vertical lines from the pocket downward passing through inside the pants.

At the end of these vertical lines, make it zigzag so it looks rough towards the down part of the pant.

Draw curves and horizontal lines to align these vertical lines with the rough side of the pant so the lower part of the pant can look more realistic than it’s rough or folded.

Draw a spike-like pattern at the thigh of the pant. By doing all these, you are done with the pant and belt.

Karma Shoes Drawing

For the right shoe, make a curve at the side of the parallelogram facing upward and curve it down so it looks like the lower part of the shoe.

Draw another curve above the curves.

Draw a vertical line under the horizontal line of the pant, and draw a line from the vertical line to the end of the curve, this is the sole of the shoe.

You can as well draw a line above the sole to make it look more practical.

For the left shoe, draw a vertical line from the concave of the pant and curve it downward while aligning it with the trapezoid you drew for the left shoe; extend the curved part to the other end of the concave.

Make sure the front part of the curve looks like that of a shoe.

Draw a horizontal line inside the shoe, so it forms the upper part of the shoe, draw another curve above the one you drew for the shoe, so it makes the lower part(sole) of the shoe.

Enhance Outfit

4) Enhance Your Karma Drawing

For the sleeves and shirt, make sure you use a thick line for the border to look better and more practical.

The jacket is black while the shirt is white, clean all the excess lines or dots on the outfit, his pant is ash in color, and the belt is also black.

For the shoes use a thick line for the border and faint lines for the details of the shoes, the shoe is black.

Use a thick line for the hair so it doesn’t look faded, and add shading to the lower part of the hair (right side of the head); the hair is punched in color.

Use a thick line for the fingers.

Enhance Outline

Karma is fair in complexion, and the pupils are brown, use a thick line for the eyebrows, upper eyelids, the mouth, and a thick dot for the nose.

Clean all excess lines and dots on the major outlines, and draw small thick horizontal lines at the upper part of the trapezoid (chest).
