Begin with a circle and lines
To draw her pose, we need to start with the head, draw a very big circle for the head because Kanna’s head appears very big, and make a vertical line under the big circle of the head; this serves at the neck,
Draw the body
To draw the body starting from the shoulder to the waist draw a rectangle that looks almost like a circle her arms are not visible in this drawing.
Draw outlines for the legs
Draw two short vertical lines from the waist leaving space between these lines, this is the upper part of the leg (thigh) draw small circles at the end of these vertical lines, so it forms the joint of the knee.
Draw a vertical line under these circles downward, this is the leg, and lastly, draw an oval circle at the end of the legs, this is the basis for the shoe.
With these first basics of drawing, you should be able to conclude that Kanna drawing is in a standing posture or position.
Therefore, we can now start fully investing in our drawing since we know the posture.
Draw Kanna Kamui’s Face
Draw the eyes
Here we need to start with the upper eyelid, make two horizontal lines for the upper eyelids
Make sure these lines are not too wide or too small so that the shape of the eyes can easily be fixed.
Make a convex curve under these horizontal lines, this is the eyes, make sure the convex curves are not too small because Kanna also has big eyes.
With this, you are done with the first step of the eyes.
Draw the jaw
The jaw is also a very easy part of the body you can easily draw, the jaw is attached to the big circle of the head, and it’s drawn above the neck.
To draw the jaw, make a bit wide convex curve at the bottom of the circle of the head so that it crosses the vertical line of the neck.
Draw Kanna Kamui’s Legs
Make a vertical line from the waist downward giving that there is a space between the vertical line you drew for the basic of the thigh so that it shows the size of the thigh.
Draw this vertical line down so that it slightly bends beside the knee, so it shows the shape and size of the knee till it gets to the outer part of the oval shape you drew for the shoe.
To complete the chosen leg, draw another vertical line from the waist (close to the middle), so the thigh looks realistic.
This vertical line should also pass beside the small circle, but it shouldn’t touch the circle of the knee, draw it down to the other side of the oval shape of the shoe.
Use these same approaches to draw the other leg since they appear the same way.
Begin To Draw Kanna Kamui’s Hair
Start with a curve under the big circle of the head, so it forms the basics of the hair.
Draw a vertical line on the left side of the head starting from the eyebrow downward till it gets to the upper part of the body besides the upper arm.
Draw another vertical line from the side of the head close to the jaw down to the direction of the first vertical line and join these vertical lines with a vertical slant line, so it forms an edge facing downward.
Do the same for the right side of the body, so it shows the length of the hair.
Draw Kanna Kamui’s Neck
Kanna’s neck can easily be drawn with just a few strokes, make a vertical slant line at the sides of the straight line you drew for the basic of the neck, these vertical lines should be from the jaw to the horizontal line that serves as the shoulder.
Begin To Draw Kanna Kamui’s Dress
Her dress is made up of many designs which makes it very unique and dynamic.
At this point, you need to be very patient so you don’t make mistakes and take your time so you won’t skip any of the steps.
Make a cloud-like line at the upper part of her body, under the horizontal line for the shoulder, this is the upper part of the dress.
Draw a fin-like shape of hair at the sides of the body so it looks like the wings of a penguin.
Draw a long rectangle downwards from this cloud-like curved (forming a pleated lace) line under downward so the vertical lines fall at the center of the dress while leaving space between them.
For the other features of the cloth to be fixed, draw 3 horizontal lines running through the upper one-third of the dress, then draw the pattern of the lower part of the dress.
You can also add another layer to the fin-like part of her hair under the ones you drew at the sides of the body so it forms two layers of penguin wings.
Draw Kanna Kamui’s 4 Horns and Pupils
Kanna has 4 horns which are two on the right side and two on the left side of the head or we can also say two upper horns and two lower horns.
For the upper horns, draw the shape of the horn at the left side of the curve that’s inside the big circle of the head(top) which serves as the basis of the hair and hair band, this is for the upper left horn of the head.
For the upper right horn of the head, draw the shape of the horn opposite the left horn on the right side of the head, so that the upper part of the horn touches the curve and the lower line of the horn touches the circle of the head.
These two upper horns are facing upward,
For the lower part of the horn, draw a horn shape attached to the upper horn and the lower line of it is on the big circle of the head which is on the left side of the head, this time the horn is not as big as the upper horn and it’s facing downward, this is the lower-left horn of the head.
Draw a curve at the right side of the head which starts from the top of the big circle of the head (passing through the upper right horn down) down so you make a curve joining the edge of this curve to the head so it forms the lower right horn of the head also facing down.
It would be best if you made a small circle inside the circle drawn for the eyes.
Begin To Draw Her Hair Band
Kanna’s hair is bounded by a hair hand that looks like a bow tie.
The hair band is located at the top of the head and exactly at the center of the head.
To draw the hair band, begin with a small circle that looks more or less like a dotted circle at the center of the head and below the curve that passes through the head, so it looks like it’s attached to her hair. This is the first step in drawing the hair band.
Draw Her Bangs and Tail
Make a vertical line at the sides of the eyebrow and upper eyelid, and draw a curved vertical line above the first one while it touches the eyebrow and ends on the upper eyelid of the eyes,
Make some vertically curved lines at the sides of the forehead while minding the vertical line of the bang.
Draw a vertical bent line from the curved line and end this line with a horizontal line joining to the other vertical line of the left side of the bang, so it shows the limit of the hair,
You can also use this avenue to add another curved vertical line to the length of the hair so that it forms two edges with the first one.
To draw the tail, make a curved line from the right thigh pointing outward so that it curved downward at the end of the line;
Add another line beside it, so it looks doubled with the ends joining together, so it looks like a rope, this is the tail, the tip or end of the tail looks round in shape, therefore, draw a circle under the tail, so it forms the tip of the tail.
Draw Kanna Kamui’s Socks
Kanna is wearing a long sock that covers all her legs and exposes the upper part of her thigh; the socks are also another very easy step of the outfit.
Make a curved horizontal line at the upper part of the knee and below the dress so that the length doesn’t pass the position of the tail, this is the length of the socks.
Draw Kanna Kamui’s Shoes
Draw two horizontally slightly curved lines so they form the upper part of the shoe and draw a curve at the bottom (inside) of the circle of the shoe, so it forms the front part of the shoe,
Draw a convex curve inside it, so it shows the limit of the design on the shoe.
Draw four vertically curved lines from the left side of the shoe(top) to the right side, so it looks slant.
The first two lines should be close together towards the upper part of the shoe while the last two lines should also be close together towards the convex curve of the shoe design.
Draw two small closed circles under the convex of the design so that this circle forms the shape of a bow tie, this is also part of the design of the shoe.
Finish the shoe by drawing another different four inversely bent vertical line of the shoe design so they all cross and make the shoe look more realistic, with this you are done with the shoe.
Complete Her Dress
Let us finish up the dress by continuing from where we stopped,
Start by drawing four vertical lines between the first and second horizontal line at the upper part of the dress,
Draw the pleated lace under the fourth horizontal line then draw short vertical lines,
Draw two curved horizontal lines at the lower part of the dress,
Draw another set of pleated lace under the second horizontal line.
With this, you are done with the important parts of the dress to move to the next step easily.
Add Details to Her Dress and Socks
At this point, you can get yourself a chilled drink and maybe a popcorn, so you need to enjoy the rest of your drawing; for this step,
All you need to do is add details to the dress,
Make a pattern that forms the shape of a slanted letter “G” on the horizontal line of the second arm so that each pattern “G” is situated inside the segmented part of the upper part of her cloth.
Make more pleats and add more lines. Adding details to the sock is also another interesting part of the drawing.
Finish the sock’s pleated lace of the upper part of the sock.
Complete Her Hair Band
Let’s finish up the hair band too;
Draw two circles that look like the wings of a butterfly at the sides of the small circle you drew for the basics of the hair band;
Make sure the hair band is not too wide, so it can look very attractive on the head, at the end of the drawing your hair band should look like a bow tie attached to the hair.
Enhancement here implies you are making Kanna drawing beautiful either by adding lines or dots to her dress.
Erasing excess lines or dots, adding colors to the drawing, or adding some patterns that might make her look outstanding; you can curves to the sides of the length of the hair, so it forms another better pattern for the hair,
Add more lines to the hair, so it looks detailed, the cloth is of two colors which are the off-white and the pink, the socks are also off-white, the fin-like at the sides are ash in color,
The hairband has a black border while the inside seems to be deep ash, the shoe is pink in color with a black border.
Outlines here include all the body features that make Kanna drawing unique.
To start with, color the eyes with the appropriate colors, add lines on the circle of the tail, so it looks like it has a thorn on it, and, paint the inside purple.
Make a small dot for the mouth.
Use pink color to make some vertical lines under the eyes.
Hence, it looks like falling water (tears); use thick lines for all the important parts of the outlines so your drawing would look more attractive and presentable.
